CAUTION
Locked safety segments (76080) during assembly
The safety segments (
76080
) are not in the operating position. Addi-
tional axial securing of the two compressor casings (74000/76000) is
not guaranteed.
 Fit four nuts (74027) complete with washers (74018), equally spaced
around circumference, and tighten.
 Unscrew nuts (90458) from threaded studs of safety segments
(76080) on compressor casing internal part (76000).
The compressor casing internal part (76000) is now secure relative to the
compressor casing external part (74000).
NOTICE
Note control dimension (s). The safety segments (76080) are again in
the operating state.

 Put the nuts (90458) back in the toolbox.
 Measure and note axial clearance (see section Axial clearance).
CAUTION
If the axial clearance (A) is out of tolerance, an ABB Turbocharger ser-
vice station must be contacted.
 Remove four nuts (74027) and washers (74018) again.
 Connect oil pipes and all air lines in accordance with enginebuilder
specifications.
 Fit the filter silencer or air suction branch.
 Refit insulation.
