SWITCHING POINT OF AN
ELECTRONIC HOIST LIMIT SWITCH

INTERMEDIATE SWITCHING POINT
This section only applies to a chain hoist with an
electronic hoist limit switch combined with a
pendant control with an “intermediate switching
point” rotary switch or a radio remote control with
an “intermediate switching point” function.
With the intermediate switching point function, any
hook position between the upper and lower
switching point can be moved to during normal
operation.
The intermediate switching point of the electronic
hoist limit switch can be set without opening the
chain hoist. This requires the supplied teach-in
module or a pendant control with teach-in button,
or an ABURemote AC receiver with teach-in.
The intermediate switching point does not need to
be reset if the chain and chain sprocket are
replaced. If the chain and chain sprocket are
replaced, only the reference point needs to be
reset. See “Exchanging the chain and chain
sprocket” page 45.
