Imaging Plate (IP)
The normal lifespan of an IP is several hundred, or even thousands of cycles, that the IP is handled with care
and the manufacturer instructions are observed.
Size 0 Dimensions: 22 x 35 mm
Size 1 Dimensions: 24 x 40 mm
Size 2 Dimensions: 31 x 41 mm
Size 3 Dimensions: 27 x 54 mm
Size 4 Dimensions: 52 x 54 mm
This consists of two size-3 IPs placed side-by-side in a appropriate plastic support. The size 4 image is
subsequently reconstructed by the computer.
USE
• From +18 °C to +45 °C, at least 80 % relative humidity (without condensation).
STORAGE
• Unwrapped, unexposed to ambient (not direct) light in the storage box supplied. The box must be kept
closed to avoid dust and/ or liquid splashing on the IPs.
• Less than +33 °C / 80 % relative humidity (without condensation), protected against X-rays and UV light.
MATERIAL
• photo-stimulable phosphorus applied uniformly on a plastic medium. Protected by an upper layer on the
active surface and sealed around the edges.
DISPOSAL
• IPs are industrial waste that must be disposed of in compliance with current national and local laws
concerning the disposal of said material.
