Why is the top thread breaking on my AEG 110?

  The top thread may break due to several reasons: improper threading, excessively tight top tension, a blunt or bent needle, incorrect needle fixing, the top and bottom threads not being correctly fixed beneath the presser foot at the start of sewing, the yarn not being threaded to the back at the end of sewing, or using a thread that is excessively thick or thin relative to the needle. Check the threading, and consider changing the needle.

  Skipping stitches can occur due to improper needle fixing, a blunt or bent needle, using a needle and/or thread unsuitable for the fabric, improper top threading, or selecting an incorrect needle. Check and change the needle. Also, check the top thread and re-thread it.

Why is the bobbin thread breaking on my AEG 110 Sewing Machine?

  The bobbin thread may break if the bobbin yarn is not correctly threaded into the bobbin case holder, if cotton flock has collected on the bobbin case holder, or if the bobbin is damaged and cannot rotate smoothly. Clean the shuttle/bobbin case and adjust the tension of the top thread.

What to do if my AEG Sewing Machine is not rotating?

  The machine may not rotate if the power plug is not securely inserted, thread is clamping at the shuttle race, or if there was a failure to replace the bobbin at its original position after winding. Check the power connector. Check and clean the shuttle. Check and pull/push the bobbin winding pin to its primary position.

Why is my AEG 110 making excessive noise?

  Excessive noise may be caused by the power plug not being securely inserted, thread clamping at the shuttle race, or failure to replace the bobbin at its original position after winding. Check and clean the shuttle. Also, check and pull/push the bobbin winding pin to its primary position.

  Crease stitch can be caused by excessively tight top tension, improper top threading, or using an excessively thick top thread for the fabric being used. Adjust the tension of the top thread.
