5.4: Turning on Services and Leak Testing
Testing for Gas Leaks and Final Assembly
1. Turn ON the gas supply valve. See Figure 5-8.

2. Perform a soap test for leaks on the gas inlet section of the gas valve. Use an appropriate
soap solution, and monitor for the presence of bubbles, which indicate leaks. If leaks are
found, shut off gas, reinstall inlet hardware, and retest. Gas pressures for testing are
according to local or national codes and regulations. See Figure 5-9.

3. Reinstall the air inlet (and hose) into the left side inlet on the blower. See Figure 5-10.
4. Reinstall plastic blower cover onto the blower by pushing it into place. See Figure 5-10.
