The help module provides information about the system (serial number, MAC address), easy to use software
upgrade, remote log in trouble shooting for the support team and a full user manual.
4. Platinum System Maintenance
Like any computer maintenance is needed for longevity.
Start with keeping the console clean and dry as much as possible. The fines on the back of the platinum
act as heat sink (removal of heat) for the processor (heart) of the platinum.
If the system gets to hot it will shut down and restart when cooled. To avoid this, make sure there is air
flow (1inch minimum) behind the console, See image below.
Also, remove the unit from time to time and make sure the fan and fins are clean. We recommend not to
use nonabrasive cleaner. Do not use high pressure air to blow the dust of the fan for it will damage the
bearing in the fan. See fan cleaning procedure below.
Over time the internal small battery will were down and cause the unit to lose its internal setting and
revert to default, the system will still operate. The less the console is powered up the quicker the battery
will drain. We offer maintenance program for the system.
Although the platinum has a large memory and hard drive it is wise to keep it tightly. Remove old files
and close the system properly. This means do not power down with system running please shut down
properly using the turn off button on the main page or screen.
The screen is a pressure touch system. Do not us abrasive gloves for the screen will be damaged. Also,
use an anti-glare nonabrasive screen cleaner with a soft cloth. The screen has an ant-glare coating and
using any also to clean will remove the coating.
Cables and harness become worn over time with vibration. They should be check frequently for damage
and separation.
The test module provides test and performance modules for the parts of the system. This will be a handy tool.
