This adjustmen

FM

bly
to
matc

YO
FM
coil
sensitivit
y
,
and
to
pro
vide
a
10
MHz/V
FM
input sensitivit
y.
The function
generator
is
set
to pro
vide FM
at a
1MHz
rate
and
a
2.404
MHz
deviation.
This corresp
onds
to
a
mo
dulation
index
of
2.404,
whic
h
should
result
in
no
p
o
w
er
in
the
carrier.
FM
gain
is
adjusted
to
minimize the
RF output
po
w
er.

Connect
the
equipmen

as

in
Figure
3-32.
Preset
all
instrumen
ts
and
let
them
w
arm
up for
at least
one hour.
