The
time
required
for
a

phase

is
measured

The aging
rate is
inv
ersely
prop
ortional
to
the
absolute
v
alue
of
the dierence
in
the
measured
times.
The
o
verall
accuracy
of
the
in
ternal
timebase
is
a
function
of:

After
the
timebase
is
adjusted,
the
timebase
frequency
should

aging rate

tation
with

ect
to
the
earth's
magnetic

is
disconnected
from

readjust
the timebase
frequency after
a new

cycle.

ypically
,

w
ev
er,
the
timebase
frequency
returns
to
within 6
1Hz
of the
original
frequency
.
Note

ternal timebase can b e tested after reconnecting A

wer for 10 min
utes, but for b
est accuracy, test again after the
instrumen
t has been on or in standb
y condition for 24 hours.
