Description
A
p
ow
er
meter
is
used
to
mak
e
relativ
e
p
o
w
er
measuremen
ts
to
determine
the
actual
atten
uation
of
eac
h
atten
uator
card. Mismatc
h
error
is
minimized
b
y
including
a
xed
atten
uation
in
fron
t
of
the
card
b
eing
measured
for b
oth
parts of
the
relativ
e
measuremen
t
(with/without
the
card).
The
soft
w
are
uses
the
v
alue
of
eac
hatten
uator card
to
calculate
what
the
actual
atten
uation
is
when
set
to
a
sp
ecic
v
alue.
F
or
example,
the
attenuator
value
for
the
30
dB
setting
is
the
sum
of
the
10
dB
and
the
20
dB
cards.
The
eect
of
digital
ALC
correction
is accoun
ted for
by
the soft
w
are.
