Chapter 8 – Initial System Setup and
Conguration
Overview
The first boot will guide you through a short setup, which is largely a verification
of selected options. Important items to select are the network interface where
the video data will flow in and out.
See these chapters for more information:
"Chapter 4 Basic Use Case: SDI to Streams Encoding" on page 25
"Chapter 5 Basic Use Case: Streams to SDI Decoding" on page 39
"Chapter 6 Basic Use Case: Simultaneous Bi-Directional Encoding and Decoding" on
page 47
"Chapter 7 BRIDGE LIVE Features and Interface Deep Dive" on page 72
" Configuration Summary" on page 99 regarding configuration of a DNS server, if
needed.
You will also be prompted to select which network interface’s default gateway
will be used as a default route (likewise for every interface). Figure 3 on page 15
shows the Dashboard view, which is the homepage of the UI.
