The
CD
player
will
not
turn
on.

player
goes
into
the
playback
mode
when
it
is
turned
on.
Distorted
playback
or
sound
loss
during
playback.
Timer
controlled
playback
will
not
take
place.
Playback
will
not
start.
Remote
control
operation
will
not
function.
Direct
search
function
will
not
take
place.
Auto
edit
will
not
function.
All
tracks
cannot
be
programmed
during
auto
edit
pro-
gram.
The
same
tracks
are
recorded
during
automatic
edit
program
playback.
Keep
the
cabinet
clean

Clean
the
cabinet
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth.

If
the
cabinet
is
very
dirty,
clean
it
with
a
mild
detergent.

Never
use
paint
thinner,
etc.
to
clean
the
cabinet
as
this
may
damage
the
finish.

Check
to
see
if
the
power
cord
is
connected
securely
to
the
household,
timer
or
amplifier’s
AC
outlet.
The
connected
amplifier’s
input
selector
and
volume
control
are
not
set
properly.
Condensation.
The
compact
disc
is
not
loaded
properly.
The
compact
disc
is
loaded.
Take
out
the
compact
disc
after
timer
controlled
playback
has
finished.

compact
disc
is
dirty
or
scratched.
Clean
or
replace
the
compact
disc.

close
to
a
strong
light
source.
Change
the
CD
player's
position.
The
PROGRAM
indicator
is

the

Press
the
CLEAR
button
to
cancel
random
program
play-
back,
or
use
the
PI
or
kd
buttons
to
find
the
track
you
want.
The
PROGRAM

button

back,
then
press
the
AUTO
EDIT
button.
Recording
time
is
not
set
properly.
Select
the
proper
recording
time
for
the
cassette
being
used

Cancel
repeat
playback
by
depressing
the
REPEAT
button
before
starting
playback.
Should
a
problem
persist,
write
down
the
model
and
serial
number
and
all
pertinent
data
regarding
warranty
coverage
as
well
as
a
clear
description
of
the
existing
trouble.
Then
contact
your
nearest
authorized
Akai
service
station.
