check
The
peak
level
check
function
can
be
used
for
automatic
search
of
the
highest
level
on
a
CD
in
order
to
facilitate
quick
recording
level
adjustment.
The
point
where
the
peak
level
is
located
is
conveniently
displayed
on
the
FL
display’s
total
elapsed
time
display.

Load
a
compact
disc
in
the
CD
player.
a
Press
the
PEAK
LEVEL
CHECK
button.
The
CD
player
will
go
into
the
peak
level
check
mode.
The
-P
and
>
indicators
will
appear
on
the
display,
and
the
digital
display
will
show
the
playback
level.
Atter
peak
level
check,
the
digital
display
will
show
the
time
where
the
peak
level
is
located
on
the
CD
for
approxi-
mately
4
seconds.
To
display
the
CD’s
peak
level
point
Press
the
PEAK
LEVEL
CHECK
button.
The
digital
display
will
show
the
time
where
the
peak
level
is
located
on
the
CD
for
approximately
4
seconds.
For
example,
“-P”,
14
minutes
and
54
seconds
will
be
dis-
played.
To
stop
peak
level
check
operation
immediately
Press
the
button.
The
CD
player
will
go
into
the
stop
mode.
How
to
use
peak
level
information
during
recording
level
adjustment
Example:
A
peak
level
located
at
the
14
minute,
54
second
point
of
the
CD.

Set
the
cassette
deck
to
the
recording
standby
mode.
Press
the
DISPLAY
button
until
the
TOTAL
indicator
appears
on
the
FL
display.
Press
the
PEAK
LEVEL
CHECK
button
to
confirm
the
peak
level
point
on
the
loaded
CD.
Start
playback
and
search
operation
by
using
the
>>
Kd,
BP
and
<<
buttons
go
to
the
14
minute,
30
second
point.
Press
the
A-—~B
button
when
14
minutes
and
40
seconds
appears
on
the
display.
Press
the
A-—B
button
when
the
15
minute,
10
seconds
point
is
displayed.
The
CD
player
will
now
go
into
the
A-—~
Brepeat
playback
mode.
Adjust
the
recording
level
with
the
REC
LEVEL
control
of
the
cassette
deck.

All
outputs
(including
digital
optical
and
coaxial
out-
puts)
will
be
cut
during
peak
level
search
operation.

When
the
CD
player
is
turned
off,
or
if
the
&
button
is
pressed,
the
memorized
peak
level
point
will
be
cancelled
automatically.
@
The
level
check
operation
takes
approximately
60
to
80
seconds
(1
minute
to
1
minute
20
seconds).
If
the
loaded
CD
contains
many
tracks,
a
slightly
longer
time
will
be
necess-
ary.
