Antenna
placement
Do
not
place
the
AM
loop
antenna
on
top
of
the
tuner
or
any
other
metal
encased
object
as
this
could
result
in
noise
in-
terference.
It
should
also
not
be
placed
near
a
CD
player,
computer
or
TV
set.
The
FM
antenna
should
be
attached
to
a
wall
etc.,
after
be-
ing
unwound
and
extended
to
its
full
length.
FM
antennas
FM
broadcasts
provide
excellent
sound
quality,
but
in
order
to
take
advantage
of
this,
the
radio
waves
must
be
received
properly.
We
recommend
that
you
select
an
antenna
appro-
priate
for
your
area.

These
are
input
terminals
for
analog
connection
of
external
components.
Playback
of
an
external
cassette
deck
or
LD
player
etc.,
is
possible
by
connecting
these
terminals
to
the
pin
jack
output
terminals
of
the

optical

for
the
CD’s
digital
signal.
Normally,
connect
this
terminal
to
this
system’s
MD
recorder

fibre
cable.
If
not
con-
nected,
digital
recording
of
CDs
to
the
MD
is
not
possible.
Digital
recording
to
other
components
is
also
possible
by
connecting
this
terminal
to
the
digital
(optical)
input
terminal
of
digital
recording
components
the
such
as
an
MD,
DAT
etc..

player

cable.

connection
allows
recording
of
the
CD's
digital
signal

MD.
Digital
recording
to
other
components
is
also
possible
by
connecting
an
MD,
DVD
or
external
BS
broadcast
compo-
nent
etc.,
that
has
a
digital
(optical)
output
terminal.
Although
the
sampling
frequency
of
a
DAT
or
BS
broadcast
differs,
the
frequency
will
be
converted
automatically.
The
MD’s
digital
(optical)
signal
is
output
from
the
output
terminal.
The
digital
(optical)
input
terminal
of
an
external
component
can
be
connected
here
for
digital
signal
connec-
tion.
