Power
on/off
Although
the
system's
power
will
be
turned
on
when
the

button
is
pressed,
the
system
will
take

seconds
to
stabi-
lize
itself.
During
this
time,
the
power
indicator
will
flash
and
operation
buttons
will
not
be
operable.
Pressing
the

button
again
will
turn
the
power
off.
Even
when
the
power
is
off,
power
is
still
being
supplied
to
some
of
the
system’s
circuits,
such
as
the
time
circuit.
For
safety,
unplug
the
power
cord
from
your
household
AC
power
outlet
when
you
will
not
be
using
this unit
for
a
long
period
of
time.
Power
save
mode
When
the
power
save
mode
is
engaged,
in
order
to
con-
serve
energy
the
system
will
be
turned
off
when
CD,
MD
or
TAPE
input
is
selected
and
the
component
has
not
been
used
for
more
than
10
minutes.

the
power
save
mode:
When
the
system's
power
is
turned
on,
press
the
remote
control's

more
than
2
seconds.
“POWER
S”
will
appear
on
the

display,
indicating
that
the
power
save
mode
is
engaged.
When
the
power
save
mode
is
engaged,
“P”
will
appear
on
the
FL
display
when
the
system's
power
is
turned
off.

save

When
turning
off
the
power,
press

on
the
remote
control
until
the
“P”
indicator
goes
out.
About
the
JOG
dial:
SET
The
JOG
dial
includes
a
power
ey
save
circuit
to
prevent
wear
of
remote
control
batteries.
When
the
JOG
dial
is
not
used
for
more
than
3
minutes,
the
|
power
save
mode
is
engaged,
aoe
disabling
the
JOG
dial.
To
use
the
JOG
dial
in
this
case,
first
press
the
SET/JOG
button
before
using.
Setting
the
clock
This
system
has
a
built-in
clock
circuit.
Before
the
timer-con-
trolled
functions
can
be
used,
the
clock
must
be
set
to
the
current
time.
The
clock
will
function
even
while
the
system's
power
is
off.
The
current
time
will
be
displayed
on
the
FL
display.

the
power
backup
mode

function
providing
power
backup
for
approx.

minute.
Data
will
be
retained
during
this
time.
If
the
power
is
off
for
more
than

minute,
please
reset

clock
data.
