In this stack of two OmniSwitch 6450 switches, the slot
1 switch is the primary management module. The slot 2
switch is the secondary.
The user reloads the stack’s secondary management
module by issuing the reload secondary command. Any
data flow on the secondary switch’s Ethernet is inter-
rupted.
As the secondary switch reboots, the primary manage-
ment module continues to operate without interruption.
Meanwhile the stack has no interim secondary manage-
ment module as the switch reboots.
