Adding a new data network
connection
Your telephone is preconfigured for accessing the
Internet via most European mobile phone service
providers.
If it is nevertheless necessary for you to add a
new data network connection, first ask your
mobile phone service provider for the following
information.
• Name of the access point (APN)
• If necessary, the user name and password.
• Server IP and port number, if the network uses
a proxy server.
− Tap on
on the main screen.
− Tap on Settings More... Mobile networks
Access point Names.
− Press the menu key and tap on New APN.
− Tap on Name to enter the name of your access
point (freely selectable).
− Tap on APN to enter the APN that you want to
add.
− Tap on Proxy and Port to enter the server IP
and port if the network uses a proxy server.
− Tap on Username and Password and enter
