Removing the coin-cell battery

CAUTION: Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS settings to default. It is recommended that you note the
BIOS settings before removing the coin-cell battery.
Prerequisites
1 Remove the base panel.
2 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in “Removing the solid-state drive”.
3 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 8 in “Removing the palm rest”.
4 Remove the display assembly.
5 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in “Removing the power-adapter port”.
Procedure
1 Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from the connector on the system board.
2 Peel the coin-cell battery o the system board.
