error. Reading head must be repaired

Error reported by a linear Stahl encoder on Channel 0 - Indicates that no
position value was available - only possible following powerup or reset

Indicates that the option card has detected a serial communications
checksum error while attempting to communicate with the encoder on
channel 0.
