Troubleshoot Chapter 10
Install the SFR 5.4.1.4 Update
Follow these steps to install the SFR 5.4.1.4 update. Only perform this step if
you are running the 5.4 branch and you do not want to run 6.4. However, we
recommend you update to 6.4.
1. Log in to ASDM.
2. ASDM>Monitoring>ASA FirePOWER Monitoring>Task Status.
Confirm that the previous patch that was being installed is now
“Completed”.
3. ASDM>Configuration>ASA FirePOWER
Configuration>Updates>Upload Update.
4. Select Cisco_Network_Sensor_Patch-5.4.1.4-15.sh.
5. After the file uploads, install the update.
6. Wait 2 hours.
7. Exit ASDM.
Install SFR 5.4.1.6 Update
Follow these steps to install the SFR 5.4.1.6 update. Only perform this step if
you are running the 5.4 branch and you do not want to run 6.4. However, we
recommend you update to 6.4.
1. Log in to ASDM.
2. ASDM>Monitoring>ASA FirePOWER Monitoring>Task Status.
Confirm that the previous patch that was being installed is now
“Completed”.
3. ASDM>Configuration>ASA FirePOWER
Configuration>Updates>Upload Update.
4. Select Cisco_Network_Sensor_Patch-5.4.1.6-37.sh.
5. After the file uploads, install the update.
6. Wait 2 hours.
7. Exit ASDM.
Final Reset
Follow these steps to perform a final reset on the system.
1. Log in to ASA CLI.
2. stratix5950> enable
3. stratix5950# configure terminal
