10. Remove and discard adapter seal.
NOTE: This seal must be replaced with a new Allied
Systems Company-approved seal during reassem-
bly.
11. Remove double tapered roller bearing assembly
and drum seal spacer from the left-hand end of the
drum.

12. Remove and discard shaft seal from drum. (Seal lip
should be pointed in.)

13. Using a suitable lifting device, the drum gear can
now be removed.

14. Remove and discard adapter seal from winch hous-
ing.
