9.0 CLEANING NEXUS/STYLUS
Portalters
- Clean portalters by rst removing the lter basket from the handle.
- Clean portalter with Cafetto cleaner supplied or hot soapy water. Never scrub with abrasive or
chemicals.
- Rinse the lter and portalter with fresh water and store to dry.
- Take care if soaking portalter head that handle does not touch water line. Damage can occur.
PORTAFILTER HANDLE CARE AND MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES:
DO NOT use cleaning detergents and abrasives on aluminium handle or submerge
handle in water. If soaking portalter head do not let water sit above black seal and
keep portalter handle above water.
Drip Tray
- Remove strainer from drip tray.
- Wipe strainer with soapy water and wash cloth. Remove the dirt and build up each day from inside the
drip tray with a wash cloth. Large particles should be wiped out of the drip tray before ushing.
- Polish all stainless surfaces using the cleaning cloth supplied to ensure the best nish.
Do not ush excess grinds down waste drain, doing so will cause unncessessary
blockages.
