An alternative method using the Bariatric Limb sling
is shown in Fig. 52.
3) When it is no longer required to support the
patient's limb, lower the spreader bar, remove the
sling from the spreader bar, and put the ceiling lift
away.
WARNING: When using the lowering function
be careful to not hit the patient with the
spreader bar as this could cause injuries.

1) Position the ceiling lift so that the spreader bar is
close enough to be able to connect the loops.
WARNING: When using the lowering function
be careful to not hit the patient with the
spreader bar as this could cause injuries.
Connect the loops to the spreader bar.
2) Raise the patient using the Maxi Sky 2 Plus until
the patient is fully supported.
NOTE: It may be necessary to support the head
for some patients, depending on the patient's
medical condition.
WARNING: Pay attention to the patient's
position. An overly inclined spreader bar (e.g.
where hips are much higher than the shoulders)
may lead to the patient sliding out of the sling.
3) Move the patient toward the other surface,
making sure that they are positioned centrally over
the new surface.
