3.3 General Safety Instructions
DANGER
High voltage!
Risk of electric shock and fire hazard.
u Read and understand all safety information and operating instructions before you operate or
install the device or the system.
u Not to observe the safety information or general rules of reason may cause injury or death to
yourself and others or damage to equipment.
u Use the device solely and exclusively as described in the instructions.
u Always check that the local AC power matches the voltage and frequency range printed on the
type label of the device before use.
u Always earth the fixture electrically.
u Use only TN- or TT one phase power supplies and a power plug according to IEC 60309-1 or a
similar national standard.
u Use only a power and connection cable designed for the device.
u Never use a cable for transportation.
u Never hang the device on its cables.
u Do not open the device. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
u Isolate the device from the power source when working on it or when it is not in use.
u In case of visible damage to cables or housings, the device must not be operated any longer.
u Never attempt to repair any part of the device on your own. Maintenance and repair work is
only to be carried out by an authorized ARRI service center.
u Do not bypass or remove any safety feature of the device.

Operation of the SkyPanel X in Case of Obvious Damage
Risk of electric shock and fire hazard caused by short circuit.
u Never use the device if electrical lines or housing are visibly damaged.
u Only use the type of power source indicated in the manual.
u Always grip the power plug to unplug the power cable.
u Do not lay cables over sharp edges (e.g. sheet metal, profile or other cut edges). Damaged
cables can cause electric shock, short circuit or fire.
u Do not remove or deactivate any safety measures from the device (incl. warning stickers or
paint marked screws).
u Do not try to repair the device. Repairs may only be carried out by an authorized ARRI service
center.
