7.5 Safety valves
Location of safety valve
Operating
Operate the safety valve from time to time by unscrewing the cap one or two turns. Retighten it afterwards.
Testing
Before removing the valve, depressurize the compressor. See also section Problem solving.
The safety valve (SV) can be tested on a separate air line. If the valve does not open at the set pressure
stamped on the valve, it needs to be replaced.
Warning
No adjustments are allowed. Never run the compressor without safety valve.
