Adaption channel 61 - control units using convenience data bus (Midline dash panel insert only)
Note:
This adaption channel is only used for vehicles as of Model Year 2002 with Midline dash panel insert (no driver
information system).
This function can be used to enter control units using convenience data bus on dash panel insert replacement.
-> Display on VAS 5051:
1 - Enter channel number
- Use keypad -2- to enter "61" for "Adaption channel 61" and confirm by touching Q key.
-> Display on VAS 5051:
1 - Channel 61
Read and test
4 - Moving bar positioned on current adaption value
Notes:
◆ New dash panel insert is adapted to value "0".
◆ Current adaption value for channel 61 can be read out in measured value block 017 => Page 69 .
◆ Following adaption, control units using convenience data bus are displayed in measured value block 132
=>Page 70 . Dash panel insert with CAN capability is not displayed in measured value block 132.
◆ Adaption value must be corrected on replacing Audi CAN radio with a radio with no CAN capability (e.g.
other make).
◆ Dash panel insert replacement => Page 108 .
