2.12 - Input values on dash panel insert replacement
The following items must always be heeded on replacing dash panel insert:
Perform the following before replacing dash panel insert:
- If still possible, read out and print out values of all service display adaption channels from old dash panel
insert.
- Note down mileage count.
Notes:
◆ Adaption of service display and mileage countermust be made in kilometres even in countries where dis‐
tances are measured in miles. This involves converting adaption values from miles to kilometres or entering
adaption values previously noted down.
◆ The immobilizer control unit is integrated into the dash panel insert. Immobilizer adaption must therefore be
performed following dash panel insert replacement.
Perform the following after replacing dash panel insert:
- Encode dash panel insert => Page 15
and
- Enter mileage => Page 34
- Enter language version for driver information system (DIS)
=> Page 29
- Correct fuel consumption indicator => Page 27 (only if fixed value changed)
- Correct fuel gauge sender resistance range => Page 43 (only if fixed value changed)
- Reset service display on completion of service work =>Page 25
or
- Enter remaining mileage prior to OIL CHANGE service
=> Page 38
- Enter remaining mileage prior to inspection service => Page 40
- Enter remaining time prior to inspection service => Page 41
