air distribution housing
with a defroster door in
the air outlet to the de‐
froster vents in the in‐
strument panel without
a side cut-out is gradu‐
ally being installed. With
the introduction of the
door with the side cut-out, the Climatronic control module -J255- is changed. Refer to
⇒ “1.6 A/C Air Distribution Housing Defroster Outlet Door“, page 30 and to the Electronic Parts Catalog
(ETKA). Make sure the correct Climatronic control module is installed and then check the adaptation
using Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS5051B- in the "Guided Fault Finding" func‐
tion.. On vehicles without A/C, the change to the door has no influence on the heater control (the door
is controlled only by adjusting the Climatronic control module).
