1 Introduction
This document provides a hardware description and step-by-step instructions on installing
AudioCodes 3000 Family Series of VoIP media gateways and media servers. The 3000
Family Series includes the following products:
Media Gateway:
• Mediant 3000, housing one or two of the following blade types:
♦ TP-6310 compactPCI™ (cPCI) blade, providing up to three T3 or 1+1 STM-
1/OC-3 interfaces, and two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
♦ TP-8410 cPCI blade, providing up to 63 E1/84 T1 interfaces and two Gigabit
Ethernet interfaces
Media Server: IPmedia 3000 media server housing the IPM-6310 cPCI blade,
providing two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
