• At least 2 inches (5.08 centimeters) of
clearance on each side of the switch unit
for ventilation.
• Adequate clearance is allotted at the front
and rear of the switch for access to cables.
Verifying the contents of the box
This section describes how to verify the package contents for Ethernet Routing Switch 5000
Series products.
Verifying package contents for Ethernet Routing Switch 5500:
To verify that all components have been delivered for each Ethernet Routing Switch 5500,
compare the package contents with those shown and listed in the following figure. If any
components are missing, contact the vendor from whom you purchased the switch.

• Rack-mount brackets.

The Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 5530-24TFD offers 24 inch rack
mounting brackets.

• Screws for attaching the switch to the equipment rack
