Mounting on a wall
This procedure describes how to mount a 5000 Series switch on the wall.
Prerequisites
• Phillips #2 screwdriver
• Wall anchors and screws
One 5500 Series switch weighs as much as 11.6 lbs (5.26 kg), and one 1U 5600 Series switch
weighs as much as 30 lbs (13.6 kg). Ensure you choose fasteners appropriate for the weight
of the unit. One person can lift and install the 5500 Series switch. Avaya recommends that two
people lift and install a 5600 Series switch.
1. Attach the brackets to each side of the device as shown in Figure 11: Wall mount
bracket detail on page 65.
2. Secure the brackets to the wall using appropriate screws and wall anchors (not
provided)
