Printhead
General information about the printhead
CAUTION!
Electrostatic discharge or contact to sharp edges may damage the
printhead.
Protect the printhead against electrostatic discharge during all
maintenance and service work (ESD protection measures).
Don´t touch the thermal edge (C) with bare hands.
Don´t touch the thermal edge (C) with sharp edged objects (e. g.
knifes).
Printhead type: Corner Edge.
In this chapter, “printhead” means the assembly of thermal printhead (A)
and printhead bracket (B).
The position of the printhead on the printhead bracket is set ex works using
optical aids. This setting fits for most of the applications.
In rare cases, after replacing the printhead, the printing may be worse than
before (low blackening, low contrast). In this case, a service technician
should correct the printhead position, see chapter Adjusting the printhead
position on page 46.
