Print head lift mechanic
The print head lift mechanic raises the print
head while the activated ribbon saving
function stops the ribbon feeding or when the
printer is switched offline.

The following parts belong to the print head lift
mechanic:

Print head sensor
•
Print head motor
•
Contact pressure lever
Print head sensor
The print head sensor (1) detects the actual
print head position. It is placed at the cam disk
which is mounted on the motor axle.

Phillips screwdriver, small
Disassembling/assembly
1. Remove the rear hood and the left front
housing.
On "how to" refer to chapter Rear hood
on page 7.
2. Plug the head sensor off the cable
harness (marking "HS" on the sleeve).
3. Remove mounting screws (2) and cable
clamp (3). Remove the print head
sensor.
