a
Prefilled
Syringe,
an
appropriate
Anti-Siphon
Ser
or
Prefill
Combination
Y-Set
must
be
used.
This
will
help
prevent
uncontrolled
siphoning
due
to
damage
or
incorrect
placement
of
the
Prefilled
Syringe.

inserted

the

pump

be
removed

clamp

Set
may
result
in
retrograde
analgesic
flow
into

primary

downstream
occlusion.

may
subsequently
result
in
inadvertent
bolus
to
the
patient
when
the
occlusion
is
cleared.

tubing
set
with
a
tamper
resistant
disk

highly
recommended
to
ensure
the
integrity
of
the
drug
stored
in
the
syringe.
To
reduce
the
risk
of
bolus
being
infused
after an
occlusion

be
relieved
by
resetting
the
pusher
block
and/or
disconnecting
the
system
prior
to
freeing
the

volume,

disposable
sets
specifically
designed
