3.2.3 USB Extended input

The CP39xx-0000 Control Panel has a USB Extended input (X103). The control panel is connected to the

CU8801 USB-to-USB extended converter box via the interface.

To realize a distance of 50m without hubs, USB Extended converts the USB signal so that it can be

transmitted via a 50m CAT5 cable. In the control panel the signal is converted back to USB. This is not an

Ethernet connection. No Ethernet switch or hub can be integrated in the USB-Extended cable.
