assembly,tailrotordriveshafts,ortailrotorgearboxcausedbythehard
landing
•Collectedmetalonanychipdetectorofthetransmissionassembly
ortailrotorgearbox.
•Damagetothestructurearoundthetransmissionmountingpoints
(verticalLiquidInertialVibrationEliminator(LIVE)mountsandpitch
restraintspringassemblies);examineforcracks,deformation,or
movementofthetransmissionpylonassemblieswitha10xmagnifying
glass
•Damagetothecabinroofbeamswherethetransmissionpylon
assembliesattach.
2.Ifanyoftheaboveconditionsarenoted,dothefollowing:
a.Removethedamagedcomponent(s).
b.AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
BECAUSEOFAHARDLANDINGtagonthecomponent(s).
c.Disassemblethecomponent(s),ifapplicable,thencleananddoa
detailedinspectionofthecomponent(s),orsendthecomponent(s)toan
approvedrepairfacilityforrestoration.

7.Visuallyexaminetheadapterassembliesforcondition.
8.Visuallyexaminethestoppinsforcondition.
9.Doaninspectionofthemastassemblyasfollows:
a.Examinethemastassemblyforsignsofdistortion.
b.Ifanydistortionisfound,discardthemastassembly.
c.Ifnodistortionisfound,dothefollowing:
(1)Removethemastassembly.
(2)AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
