Thehelicopterisconsideredrecoverablewhenithasbeenimmerged
inwaternodeeperthan12feet(3.6m)andforlessthan24
hours.Otherwise,thehelicopterisconsideredunserviceableand
uneconomicallyrepairable.Thehydrostaticpressuresinwaterdeeper
than12feet(3.6m)willdamagethebondedpanelsandthevarious
helicoptersystems.Duetothecorrosiveeffectsofimmersionformore
than24hours,thedamageisviewedasbeingbeyondeconomical
repair.
Ifawaterimmersionofthehelicopterhasoccurred,dothefollowing:
1.Dothehelicopterrecoveryprocedurewithin12hoursafterremoval
fromthewater.
