1.Visuallyexaminethechipdetectorofthetailrotorgearboxfor
contamination.Ifthereareunwantedparticles,dothefollowing:
a.Removethetailrotorgearbox.
b.AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
BECAUSEOFANOVERTORQUEtagonthetailrotorgearbox.
c.Sendthetailrotorgearboxtoanapprovedrepairfacilityto
disassemble,clean,anddoadetailedinspection.
2.Doatorquecheckofthetailrotorgearboxattachmenthardware.
3.Examineallthecomponentsofthetailrotordriveshaftassemblyfor
conditionandsecurityofattachment.
a.Ifanydamageisfound,repairorreplacethedamagedpart(s)as
required.
b.Ifnodamageisfound,thetailrotordriveshaftassemblyisserviceable.
