5. Commissioning
5.1 Setting addresses
Every RCMB3… has a factory-set Modbus address. The address is 1XX, where XX = the
last two digits of the serial number.
If the preset address is to be changed, this can be done
• via a COMTRAXX® gateway,
• via Modbus,
• directly on the device.
The address can be changed on the device before installation and offset calibration.
The LED has various flashing patterns, which indicate the state of the module:
Example:
Serial number = 12345678 --> Modbus address = 178
The electronic module must not be connected to the measuring current
transformer during address setting (for disassembly refer to chapter 4.4).
Each address in the bus system may only be assigned once.
