15. Trace Design
Tracing a design is an easy way to check placement on the hooped product.
Trace
1. Tap on the Trace button in the view window.
2. Optional - Select the trace shape
o Traces a polygon created from the outermost points of the design
o Traces a rectangle of the farthest edges of the design.
3. Optional - Adjust the trace speed
4. Tap to begin the trace
o If the trace shape exceeds the hoop limit, the trace will not be allowed.
§ Rectangle traces can exceed hoop limits where the design falls well within
§ Polygon traces fall much closer to the edges of the design and cannot exceed
hoop limits if the design itself does not also exceed them.
o When tracing, the laser will be shining onto the hooped product.
o The hoop will move, and the laser will trace the rectangular design bounds or the design's
outermost points. The selected shape determines this.
o Tap to pause mid-trace.
§ Once paused, tap to resume the trace.
§ Once paused, tap to abort the trace and return to the origin.
§ If the window is closed mid-trace, the machine will return to the origin.
Move Laser To:
The hoop can be moved to shine the laser on specic points along the outer bounds of the design.
