16.2. Design Filter
Stitch Filters
These lters add or remove needle penetrations along existing lines based on the settings below.
· Maximum Stitch Length
o If a stitch exceeds this amount, a needle penetration will be added to evenly divide the stitch
into lengths that fall below this threshold.
· Short Stitch Length
o This denes a "Short Stitch" for the next lter setting.
· Delete Short Stitches
o If a stitch falls below the dened "Short Stitch Length", needle penetrations will be ltered out
until a stitch remains that exceeds this dened length.
Ties and Trims
Tie and Trims settings are only applied upon design (re)load.
· Optimize Ties
o When enabled, this adds a small stitch on either side of a trim command. This may help hold
the thread if the ties in the design are insucient.
· Convert Jumps to Trim
o When enabled, this lter counts consecutive jumps. If the number of consecutive jumps in a
design meets or exceeds the specied Count to Convert, those jumps will be converted to trim
commands.
Some embroidery design les will not or cannot contain explicit jump commands. These designs may
rely on this setting to create machine trim commands within a color block.
