16.3. Machine Preferences
· All Thread Detection
o When disabled, no upper or lower thread breaks are detected. Disabling automatically
disables Bobbin Thread Detection.
o When enabled, upper thread breaks are detected. Enabling DOES NOT automatically
reenable Bobbin Thread Detection.
o Thread break detection can be aected by poor hooping technique, unsuitable Acti-Feed
settings, and inappropriate presser foot adjustment.
· Bobbin Thread Detection
o When disabled, no lower thread breaks are detected.
o When enabled, lower thread breaks are detected.
· Move Hoop Forward at End of Design
o When disabled, the hoop will remain where the design ended. This is usually at design
origin.
o When enabled, the hoop will move forward as far as possible with the needle still
remaining within the hoop limits.
· Inching Stitch Count
o When beginning to sew at the start of a design or after a trim, the machine will sew slowly.
This is the number of stitches the machine sews before starting to speed up to the set speed.
· Upper Break Backup Count
o When an upper thread break is detected, the machine will automatically back up this specied
number of stitches.
o It will not back up past a trim, color change, or start of a design.
· Bobbin Break Backup Count
o When a bobbin thread break is detected, the machine will automatically back up this specied
number of stitches.
o It will not back up past a trim, color change, or start of a design.
