16.4. Advanced Acti-Feed Calibration
This section of Machine Preferences will alter the behavior of Acti-Feed. This will cause thread breaks to be
detected more or less frequently and make tighter or looser embroidered stitches.
Standard Embroidery
The Standard Embroidery slider will aect the loft of the stitches on standard embroidery. This includes any
embroidery without the additional color sequence eects of 3D Foam or Looping stitches applied to it.
Feed Adjust:
· Sliding this slider to the right will create looser stitching.
o This could also increase false bobbin breaks or create looped stitches.
· Sliding this slider to the left will create tighter stitches.
o This could also increase fabric ripples and design distortion from push/pull.
Thin or Thick 3D Foam
Feed Adjust:
· Sliding this slider to the right will create looser stitching.
o This could also increase false bobbin breaks or create looped stitches.
· Sliding this slider to the left will create tighter stitches.
o This could also increase fabric ripples and design distortion from push/pull.
Caution!

Changing these settings will alter the way the thread is fed to the cloth and the accuracy of thread
break detection.
Information

If using a dierent bobbin tension than that explained in theBobbin Threading & Tensioningsection,
these sliders will most likely need adjusting to maintain appropriate Acti-Feed and thread break
detection.
