7 Installation and Set-Up
7.3 SURGICAL HANDPIECE ASSEMBLY
CAUTION: The surgical Handpiece is not sterile when shipped and MUST be sterilized
prior to initial use and cleaned and sterilized between patients.
To connect the Handpiece to the Fiber Optic Cable, push the Handpiece onto the fiber shaft, without
twisting, until it clicks into place and is secured (Figures 7.1, 7.2). If no click is audible, disconnect the
Handpiece and then re-install it.
