Gas connection
Connections made using a rubber hose, in compliance with applicable
regulations, must be carried out in such a way that the length of the hose
doesn't exceed 1.5 meters; make sure that the hose doesn't come into
contact with movable parts and that it can't get stuck. Before using the
cooker, always check that all the following conditions are met:
* The entire length of the wiring (max. 1.5 m) must be able to be inspected.
* The wiring must not be exposed to tensile forces or make sharp turns.
* The wiring must not come into contact with sharp objects or corners.
* The wiring may not come into contact with heated parts that get
hotter than 50°C at any point on the route.
Note
After connecting your Boretti, you should use soapsuds to check for
leaks. Never do this with a ame! A rubber gas hose has a limited
shelf life. You should replace it with a new one at regular intervals.
Boretti recommends that you connect the cooker using a exible metal
GIVEG hose. The maximum length of these hoses is 1 metre and they
have an unlimited shelf life.
Note
If your Boretti is connected to the gas network by means of a
xed (copper) pipe, you should always use a bre gasket.
