The gas burners
For best results, always use pots and pans with a level, smooth bottom
and which have the correct diameters to match the burner you are
using. See the table below for the correct diameters:
Burner Diameter
Semi-fast burner 14 to 20 cm
Fast burner 20 to 24 cm
Wok burner 17 to 28 cm
Fish burner Oval pan
Note
It is important that everything is properly installed and meets
all requirements. You should make sure that the notch in the
ame tamer is lined up exactly with the notch in the burner. The
burner also needs to sit straight on the drip plate to prevent the
stainless steel drip plate from discoloring.
A thermocouple needs to properly heated before the ame will stay lit
when you release the knob. So, do not release the button too quickly or
the burner will go out because the thermocouple is not warm enough.
After pressing the button, you will hear the spark ignition clicking. This
means it is active for all burners.
We advise you to always light at the lowest setting. Once the ame is
burning, you need to keep holding the button for 5 seconds to activate
the thermocouple protection system. If you release the button too fast,
the ame extinguishes by itself.
Not all burners have the same power and so will need different prep
times. The least powerful burner (semi-fast burner) is most often used
for sauces, soups and to simmer meat. Given how high-powered this
burner is, we recommend that you use a Boretti hotplate.
