Optionally, the Börger machine can also be supplied with a safety
plug in the fill hole (2) of the intermediate chamber
. The safety plug
must be able to move out of the fill hole without pressure when
fluid overflows in the event of a seal leakage. There is no breather
on the side on this version. The fill hole (2) may only be closed
with the optional safety plug.
Overflowing of the intermediate chamber indicates a seal malfunc-
tion.
The intermediate chamber is sealed from the gear unit with DUO
lip seals.
3.1.7 Designs, mounting positions
Depending on the pump type and the mounting position, the posi-
tion of the oil sight glass, breathers, fill holes as well as the drain
holes for the gear unit and for the intermediate chamber can vary.

NOTE!
Special version
On immersion models (special version), the fill holes and
breathers have been relocated e.g. with extension pipes to the
visible area or, depending on usage, are optionally closed com-
pletely.
