2.1.9 Fanless Operation
Fanless operation of the CL300 is possible under the following conditions:
D Ambient temperature must not exceed 55_C.
D Use of NT300 Power Supply Unit only.
D Sufficient flow of cooling air must be ensured to avoid heat accumulation.
D Central and parallel expansions are possible, but units must not be stacked.
D Intelligent modules, AG/DZ, and analog input/output modules are not permit
ted.
D I/O modules must be installed on the right−hand side of the central process
ing unit. All input modules come first, followed by all output modules.
D The following I/O modules may be used:
Input Modules 24 V DC:
D With 32 inputs and simultaneity factor = 0.5, alternating *
D With 16 inputs and simultaneity factor = 0.5, alternating *
Output Modules 24 V DC:
D With 32 outputs, 0.2 A/output and simultaneity factor = 1
D With 32 outputs, 0.5 A/output (see paragraph 4.4.1.2)
D With 16 outputs, 2.0A/output and simultaneity factor =
0.5, alternating *
D With 8 outputs, 2.0 A/output and simultaneity factor = 1

* Alternating means: Two adjacent inputs or outputs, respectively, should not be driven simultaneously over the
average mean time.
