12.8.2 Programming example: Cyclic monitoring of the CPU load
The PLC program can be used alternatively or additionally to cyclically monitor
the CPU load. Due to the cyclic monitoring of the CPU load, irregularities in the
CPU load can be detected early in the operating mode before the watchdog
shuts it down completely. Measure the CPU load in normal mode and specify a
suitable threshold value for a special handling in the PLC program. The code has
to be called cyclically within the PLC.
