Using levelling elements
Use four suitable levelling elements to place the pump on a horizontal surface. Adjust the elements
such that the pump does not wobble and the weight of the pump is evenly spread over the elements
at left hand and right hand sides.

6 Commissioning
6.1 Preparations
WARNING
A frequency controller that is fitted without manual control can start the
pump automatically when power is applied.
WARNING
Disconnect and lock the power supply to the pump drive before any work
is carried out. In case the motor is fitted with a frequency controller and
has a single-phase power supply, wait two minutes to make sure that the
capacitors have discharged.
1. Connect the electric motor and, if present, the frequency controller in conformance with the
locally applicable rules and regulations. Have the electrical installation work carried out by
qualified personnel.
2. Check that the lubricant level is above the minimum level line in the inspection window. If
necessary refill with Bredel Genuine Hose Lubricant via the breather plug.
3. Check that the correct number of shims corresponds with your application.
