Trouble Action to be taken
(15) Dirt back of paper At the printer side
 Clean the pressure roller in the heat-fixing unit. Replace the heat-
fixing unit.
 Replace the drum unit.
 Replace the high-voltage power supply PCB.
(16) Poor fixing At the printer side
 Instruct the user to use paper of the recommended weight (less
than 36 lb./m
2
).
 Clean the toner sensors (LED and light-receiver).
 Replace the toner cartridge.
 Replace the drum unit.
 Check the fitting of the heater thermistor. Replace the heat-fixing
unit.
 Replace the low-voltage power supply PCB.
(17) Ghost At the printer side
 Instruct the user to use paper of the recommended weight (less
than 36 lb./m

).
 Replace the drum unit.
 Replace the high-voltage power supply PCB.
(18) Black spots At the printer side
 Gently wipe off the surface of the photo-sensitive drum with a
cotton swab.
 Replace the drum unit.
 Replace the heat-fixing unit.
 Replace the high-voltage power supply PCB.

 Replace the drum unit.
